Curbside™
The first issue of Curbside™ magazine, a publication about street complexity. Each section is meant to feel very different from the last, giving the reader a unique reading experience.
The publication focuses on one street in Ontario per issue, touching upon the beauty of the street along with the people and the unique businesses that have built themselves along these streets.
Strategy and Implementation
This project began with strategic direction. At this stage, it was extremely important to identify the audience that the magazine would be directed towards.
Some areas that required strategic planning included publishing, distribution, promotion, pricing, sales and the overall audience of Curbside™ magazine.
Process
Exploration of different typefaces and font pairings were necessary to provide consistency and give a sense of personality to the magazine. Proper grid sizes were also determined in order to make the most of page space when placing content.
